Welcome
Welcome to my web page. There are links at the top and bottom of the page to take you to my poetry, short stories, essays, photos of places and events in Mexico and a special "Meet my Doggies"
I was born in 1937 in Oklahoma and moved to California in 1954 where I spent most of my adult life. I married, had two children and a career. These children gifted me with five grandchildren, who in turn gifted me with eight great grandchildren, six boys and two girls.
After retirement, I attended Humboldt State University in Arcata California and graduated in 2000 with a BA in Critical Thinking, Ethics and Communication. While at HSU I became interested in writing. In 2002 I moved to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. Update: In June 2009, after living in Mexico for 7 years, I am moving back to California. My time in Mexico was a wonderful adventure and I now look forward to the next one.
I have self published four Chapbooks. Three are bilingual, in English and Spanish. A fourth chapbook, "Short Stuff", in English only, was published in 2006. This book is a collection of very short stories.
Two of my short stories have been published in online magazines. "Singing With the Ladies" (Flash Fiction) in Doorknobs and Bodyworks and "The Slide" in The Melic Review. Also several of my poems have been published in the anthalogies "Sundays at the Bugumvilla" and "Solemente en San Miguel".

Project in Time
Today I drove up 101 North to Smith River then along Rowdy Creek Road eastward, a road that is gravel, narrow and uphill all the way. There were rocks from winter slides on the edges of the road and in places caused the road to narrow.
